Privatiser is a browser extension and web tool that anonymizes sensitive content locally in your browser.
Data Collection
Privatiser does not collect, store, transmit, or share any user data. All text processing happens entirely within your browser. No data is sent to any server, third party, or external service.
Permissions
- contextMenus/menus: To provide right-click anonymize/deanonymize options
- storage: To save your preferences (theme, category toggles, allowlist) locally in your browser
- activeTab: To interact with the current tab when you use the extension
Data Storage
Your settings are stored locally using the browser's built-in storage API. Anonymization mappings are stored in session storage and cleared when you close the browser tab. No data persists beyond your local browser.
Third-Party Services
Privatiser makes no network requests. There are no analytics, tracking pixels, crash reporters, or any form of telemetry.
