Why is everything free?
Privatiser is fully open source under the MIT licence. There used to be a paid Pro tier gating a few features — that's gone now, everyone gets everything. Development is supported by voluntary crypto donations instead.
Is the code actually open source?
Yes — the detection engine, browser extension, and VS Code extension source are all public on GitHub under the MIT licence. Read it, fork it, self-host it.
Do I need an old Pro licence key any more?
No. If you bought Pro previously, thank you — that's genuinely what funded getting this open sourced. Every feature is unlocked automatically now; there's nothing left to activate.
My team/organisation wants a custom deployment

Does donating unlock anything extra?
